In the village of Pervomaiskskoye, Malokarachayevsky district, Karachay-Cherkessia was killed by the acting Chairman of the District Court Ruslan Botashev. This is reported by Interfax.

The incident occurred on Thursday at about 11:30. Botashev left the store and got behind the wheel of his Toyota car. At this time, an unknown man approached the car and fired a judge from a certain rifled weapon four times.

Then the attacker moved away from the car, but then he returned and shot at Botashev one more time. After that, he disappeared.

The regional head of the Investigative Committee opened the case under Articles 295 (an encroachment on the life of a judge) and 222 of the Criminal Code (illegal turnover of weapons). The first of these articles provides for punishment up to the death penalty.
