The actions of the Ukrainian authorities to liberate the conclusions of Ukrainian citizens in Russian places of the conclusion of Ukrainian citizens. Such a requirement is contained in the joint appeal of the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, relatives of political prisoners and their lawyers, published on the website of the LETMYPEOPLEGO project.

“Only over the past few months, the detention of at least eight citizens of Ukraine in temporarily occupied Crimea has passed,” the document says. “At the same time, in a pre -trial detention center and colonies in Russia, from Rostov -on -Don to Magadan - several dozen prisoners remain in various attacked cases.”

The authors of the document call "rather ghostly" prospects for the liberation of these captives. “We are aware that all these cases are a generation of lawlessness in the Russian Federation and the Kremlin’s aggressive policy towards Ukraine. However, relatives of persons contained by political reasons, as well as their lawyers, question the sufficiency of efforts that Ukraine is attached to the liberation of their relatives and clients,” the appeal says.

For three years, Ukraine has not developed approaches to solving the problem of "prisoners of the Kremlin", the authors of the document believe. They require immediately to appoint a competent organization or person responsible for negotiating with Russia. In addition, the document contains a requirement of regular reports on the efforts.

“Otherwise, against the general background of the growth of negative moods, the atmosphere of distrust will only increase, and the request for relatives and lawyers to“ maintain the regime of silence ”will be perceived as covering inaction,” the document says.

In August, the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Nadezhda Savchenko announced a hunger strike, protesting against the "inaction of the authorities of Ukraine and the world" in the matter of the liberation of Ukrainian hostages. According to Savchenko, the process of exchanging prisoners of war and political prisoners with Russia stopped after "this issue was transferred to a political plane."

“I offered the president real actions for the exchange of prisoners: I need to start giving people the first. But the children of Pyotr Alekseevich do not sit in captivity, and he does not care about your children. Because everyone should fight for their sister and mother. Go to the banking, demand a meeting and report from the president as a guarantor of the Constitution,” Savchenko said.
