Two participants of the “March against Hate” were detained in St. Petersburg

In St. Petersburg on October 29, two activists were detained at the “March Against Hate” - Yana Turbova and Vsevolod Nelaev. Rosbalt writes about this.

The reason for the arrest was single pickets of march participants who were holding flags of Ukrainian and Crimean Tatars. The police asked to remove the flags and keep a distance of 50 meters from each other, but in the end they considered that the detainees had violated the law on holding public events.

The police officers also asked the girl with the flag of the LGBT movement for documents; she also had a poster in her hands demanding that the murder of journalist Dmitry Tsilikin be recognized as a hate crime. The activist showed her passport and stood at a distance from the others; the police did not find a reason for the arrest.
