What is this brigade?

The visiting vascular brigade was formed in 1985, and in 1995 received the status of a city. According to information on the website of the hospital, the 41st department provided consultative and surgical care to patients with acute vascular pathology and was the only mobile team of emergency angiosurgical care in Moscow. The surgeon, who was on duty for the day, responded to calls to the capital's hospitals and provided any emergency and planned assistance, performing operations wherever there were operating rooms.

Pirogov Konstantin Frolov noted that the Emergency Arterial Assistance Brigade (BEAP) provided assistance to patients at First City on the same basis as in other hospitals.

“Over the past six months, the BEAP employees have been working almost autonomously and, when asked to report on their activities to the head, they answered that the decision to transfer the brigade to the ambulance had already been made, and therefore it makes no sense to report to the hospital management,” Frolov was quoted by Gazeta. The doctors who worked in the team were offered to remain in their positions, Frolov continues. “All those who quit their jobs resigned of their own free will, preferring to work in other healthcare facilities (treatment and preventive care institutions) instead of serving in the BEAP,” he added.
