Vadim Gorshenin, chairman of the board of directors of the Pravda.ru holding, became the chairman of the Public Monitoring Commission of Moscow, which monitors the observance of human rights in colonies, pre-trial detention centers and temporary detention facilities. It is reported by Open Russia.
Moskovsky Komsomolets journalist Eva Merkacheva, who was one of the deputies in the previous composition of the commission, was elected deputy chairman.
