"Vedomosti" reported plans to increase tariffs twice a year on Plato

The government is discussing an increase in the tariff for Plato in February and June, federal officials told Vedomosti.

The corresponding proposal was sent to the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev by his deputy Arkady Dvorkovich. The fare fees is heavier than 12 tons on federal routes can be increased from 1.53 to 2.6 rubles per kilometer in February and 3.06 rubles in June. The interlocutors of the publication noted that after the preferential tariff is canceled, inflation indexation may resume.

The representative of Dvorkovich did not promote the tariff “Vedomosti”, the representative of Rosavtodor said that the issue of raising the tariff is considered at the government level.

The system of gathering fees for compensation for damage to the federal highways "Plato" began to work on November 15, 2015 and caused mass protests of truckers throughout Russia. Through the system passes a fee with a wagon weighing more than 12 tons per fare along Russian roads. Protest drivers managed to get from the government, in particular, the introduction of a preferential coefficient during tariffing.
