The defender in the process at the request of the accused became his brother Hussein Zakaev, Interfax reports. The prosecutor objected, indicating that it was necessary to allow his relative who did not have special knowledge and experience before the defense of the defendant.

After that, he adds Interfax, the court decided to postpone the consideration of the case on November 22 in connection with the large number of victims, who need to notify the hearings.

According to the court, which the agency quoted, 852 telegrams in Russia were sent, 740 answers returned, about 40 more victims, which are abroad, telegrams have not yet been sent. In addition, due to technical errors in the incorrect Russian addresses, 28 notifications were sent.

As Gazeta.Ru reports , the court leadership did not let representatives of several media into the hall, explaining this with a lack of place because of the victims who came to the hearing. In particular, correspondents of state agencies, as well as Echo of Moscow, RBC and Gazeta.Ru, did not get into the hall.

Hasan Zakaeva was charged with several crimes, including preparation for the attack, aiding in the seizure of hostages and attempted murder.

According to the investigation, in 2002, Zakaev organized the transportation of weapons and explosive devices to Moscow, which were subsequently used in the theater center on Dubrovka. Zakayev was detained in December 2014 while trying to enter Crimea according to fake documents.

Earlier, six of the participating in the attack were sentenced to a long term of imprisonment, and 40 terrorists were killed during a special operation.

When taking hostages in the theater center on Dubrovka in October 2002, 130 people were killed, including 10 children.
