In Penza, Hackday was held for the third time - an event where teams can develop a project from an idea to a prototype in 48 hours. This year, 145 activists took part - programmers, designers, marketers, engineers and students from Penza, Saransk, Samara and Saratov. On the final day, 27 projects were presented.
Hackday can participate everyone who has the idea of an Internet project, but there is no team for its implementation. For the first time, the “Workshop” was held in 2009, and today the geography of the project expanded from Novosibirsk to Kaliningrad and from St. Petersburg to Almaty.
About format
The “Workshop” format is 48 hours of work on the project, training and communication with like -minded people. Participants are divided into teams, work out their idea and prepare a project for presentation on Demofest. In addition, experienced mentors conduct master classes, where they give specific recommendations for the implementation of projects.
This time, Pavel Pocabstsev , the product manager of Funcorp , told how to highlight the main tasks in the project and fit in time. And Sergey Averin, the head of Acronis, gave advice on how to form a technical team at the start of the project.

“The jury does not choose one winner, but only indicates the best projects in five nominations. And prizes and encouragements for the children are preparing our sponsors. This year’s sponsors were Vigromcorp and Autodesk. ” Evgenia Sotina , Head of Educational Projects of the Secon Association
In 2016, five Hackday nominations were awarded:
Startup;
Tech;
original 3D application;
Hack;
Hardware.
In the Startup nomination as the most promising in terms of commercialization and scale of the jury, it allocated “STL Concept”. The team has developed a 3D printing device that will help users improve the quality of the printing of cheap printers and eliminate the harmful evaporation of plastic components during printing.
The Vigromcorp company awarded the winners in this nomination by a trip to the largest startup exhibition in Europe and the Slush conference , which attracts thousands of entrepreneurs, investors and representatives of large businesses from around the world.
The best Tech nomination was the Strike Map project. The project team has developed a communication system for striking players: a functional card for a smartphone, a portable server and a game cover. The HACK nomination celebrated the Office Shooter project. A team of two developers and designer has developed a mobile application-an analogue of a laser tag using a smartphone and a4 sheet with a QR code.
Laser Tag is a high -tech game that occurs in real time and space. The essence of the game is the defeat of players-makers or special interactive targets with safe laser shots from blaster automata. The player’s “defeat” occurs by registering a Blaster Automatic beam with special opponent sensors (sensors) fixed on the player’s clothes or on a special vest (bandage).
“We did not expect our idea to have a similar success. People came to us to find out what we were doing, tried to play. During Hackday, more than 20 people played our game. On Hackday, we got acquainted with the Firebase platform and studied its functionality. Now we are correcting errors. The plans to make a new site design and application. Add functionality that was conceived, but not realized in 48 hours. ” Alexander Sivishkin , developer of the Office Shooter project

In the Hardware nomination, the jury noted the Biotrek project - a wearable compact device with medical sensors in the form of a bracelet, which helps patients and their doctors monitor health indicators and solves the problem of a quick and convenient connection of users with their doctor.
The structure of the system is happy. The patient can wear a device on the principle of BLE-INSEARE to contact the phone on the phone, and from the phone already through a network with a web service, which can withdraw the history of parameters to proxies, such as a doctor or relatives. Dmitry Korzhavin , programmer of the BIOTRECE project
Autodesk called the best project in the nomination "Original 3D application" project "3DFRAME". The project was developed by a team of four developers and two designers. The application helps people without programming skills add 3D models to their websites.
“Many of my friends study at the architectural and construction university, engage in modeling. And I often heard from them about problems with the search for work. When I told them about the technology for viewing 3D models, they advised to make a profile where a potential employer could go and see the work of a specialist. At first I made such a profile for a furniture store, and then made a team on Hackday. ” Alexander Sorokin , developer of the 3DFRAME project.
The event was held from October 14 to 16, 2016 in Penza.
