
Today, November 7, the box list of finalists of 2016, the poetic prize Arkady Dragomoshchenko, became known for young authors writing in Russian.
According to the Prize website , this year the short list was announced with a delay caused by a significant divergence of the jury and nominee voting results. After consulting with the Board of Trustees, it was decided to expand the list of finalists to five.

Also, the jury of the award, which includes Alexander Skidan (chairman), Anna Glazova, Vladimir Aristov, Elena Kostylev, Nikita Safonov, Sergey Zavyalov and Alexander Tsibul, noted “the impressive debut of Yaroslava Zakharova and Dmitry Gerschikov (as well as the accompanying letters of their nominators-Dmitry Golynko-Wolfson and Nikita Sungatov).”
The Award Arkady Dragomoshchenko was established in 2014 on the basis of the bookstore and the Cultural site "Order of the Words" . The authors whose age does not exceed 27 years can be nominated for the prize. The prize is designed to identify relevant poetic practices that acutely respond to a challenge of time and contribute to a new understanding of “poetic”. The work of the award, in turn, should contribute to an adequate assessment of new directions and capabilities of writing, the development of discussion around the authors of the young generation.
In 2014 and in 2015, Nikita Safonov and Alexander Tsibul received the prize.
In 2016, the prize winner will receive 70 thousand rubles, finalists - 15 thousand rubles each. Everyone who entered the short list will be invited to the final ceremony in St. Petersburg, within which their poetic readings will take place.
The Dragomoshchenko Prize Program, which will be held from November 25 to 27 on the new stage of the Alexandrinsky Theater, in the bookstore "Word Order" at Fontanka and Smolny (Faculty of Free Arts and Sciences of St. Petersburg State University), will be announced separately at the Prize website.
