China is building a “singing” highway

In China, they conducted a test run on a "singing" highway. In the road surface, grooves of different levels are made, which, when rubbed with car tires, make sounds that add up to a melody. Thus, the road functions like a vinyl player, in which the tires are the needle and the asphalt is the record. The first part of the road plays 30 seconds of the anthem "Ode to the Motherland" .

The road was laid to the mines, which are currently abandoned. The opening of the highway after reconstruction is scheduled for spring 2017.
