According to OPEC calculations, in 2017-2019, daily oil production in the Russian Federation can fall to 10.9 million barrels, in 2020–2021 - up to 10.8 million barrels. In 2025–2040, Russian oil production should stabilize at 10.9 million barrels per day.
At the same time, OPEC experts expect that in 2016, oil production in Russia will increase to 11 million barrels per day. Last year, daily oil production in the country amounted to 10.8 million barrels.

The long -term forecast of OPEC also states that by 2040, gas will ahead of oil in a share in global energy balance. By this time, the share of gas in world demand for energy will grow to 26.6% (from 21.8% in 2014), and the share of oil, on the contrary, will be reduced to 26.1% (from 31.1% in 2014). At the same time, the global demand for oil until 2040 will grow by 17.6% to 109.4 million barrels per day, expect in OPEC.
