The reaction of human rights activists to information about the unscrupulous actions of the Syktyvkar State University in relation to graduate students was not forced to wait long: a law firm specializing in protecting the rights and legitimate interests of conscripts announced his readiness to provide all the necessary legal support.

Lawyers believe that in this situation, justice will be possible not so much at the expense of the final decision of the court on the merits, but due to the fact that all the time that the trials will go, all the actions of the military registration and enlistment office in relation to the recruits will be suspended by virtue of part 78 of the Federal Law “On Military Duty and Military Service”.

As reported by the 7x7 Internet magazine, Syktyvkar State University misleads a whole course of graduate students: he entered into training agreements and enlisted young people in graduate school, without state accreditation for educational activities. Already at the end of October 2016, graduate students began to receive summons from the military registration and enlistment office. According to experts, in order to obtain a postponement in graduate school on the basis of paragraph “b” of paragraph 2 of Article 24 of the Federal Law “On Military Duty and Military Service”, it is required that the university has state accreditation, but it is obvious that all graduate students of SyktSU will be refused, they will be drafted into the army on a common basis.
