The defendants in the criminal case under Part 1 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code (the organization of the prohibited terrorist organization) were three natives of Dagestan 1981, 1982 and 1988, a native of Tajikistan born in 1985 and two more people born in 1985 and 1991. On August 17, the Moscow District Military Court at the on -site session in St. Petersburg sentenced the persons to be the defendants of the next case of Khizb Ut -Tahrir Karim Ibrahimov and Eldar Ramazanov by 17 and 16 years of strict regime, and Ilyas Kagirova, to 5 years in common. 53-year-old Ibragimov and 32-year-old Ramazanov were announced guilty under part 1 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code (organization of the terrorist organization), and the 5th year student of the St. Petersburg Marine University of Kagirov-in part 2 of the same article (participation in the activities of such an organization).

According to the plot of the case, Ibrahimov and Ramazanov created a certain “Mediaopis” “Hizb Ut-Tahrir”, as well as opened the Islam in St. Petersburg video channel through which the “anti-monetization ideas of the Islamic state and the Islamic personality” promoted. They were helped, as claimed, Kagirov and unidentified persons, known by names, in particular some Mustafa and Abdullah.

The case of Ibragimov, Ramazanov and Kagirov was allocated into a separate proceedings from the general case of Hizb Ut-Tahrir, excited by the FSB in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region in May 2014. In total, there are nine defendants. Six of them were arrested in the summer of 2014. These are Ibragimov, Ramazanov, plumbing Sergei Yablokov and Roman Ivanov, as well as Dagestan Gapur Magomedov and a citizen of Kyrgyzstan Mahamadimin Saliev at the same university with Kagirov.

In April 2015, Russians Isa Ragimov and Dmitry Mikhailov were arrested, and in June of the same year, Kagirov (initially in media reports he appeared as Kadirov).

On August 14, 2015, Saliev was sentenced to five years of strict regime under part 2 of article 205.5; Three days later, on August 17, Magomedov was given five years in common on the same charges. Both defendants concluded transactions with the prosecutor's office and cooperated with the investigation.

In early 2016, sentences to Yablokov and Ivanov were sentenced. To both part 1 of Article 205.5 was imputed, because in the case they appeared as the organizers of the Hizb Ut-Tahrir cell. On March 30, Yablokov received 12 and a half strict regime with an annual restriction of freedom after leaving the deadline.
