The Krasnoselsky District Court of St. Petersburg arrested the head of the non-profit organization "North-Western Center for Forensic Expertise" Yuri Parfenov, reports RIA Novosti with reference to the head of the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee for St. Petersburg, Sergei Kapitonov.
Kapitonov did not specify the date and reasons for Parfenov’s arrest, however, according to the agency’s source, the head of the North-West Center for Forensic Examinations organization became a suspect in a criminal case of fraud on an especially large scale. According to him, the court arrested Parfenov on November 1.
Parfenov was detained on October 27. Investigators claim that in 2016, Parfenov, who at that time held the position of head of the gerontology department of polyclinic No. 91, ordered his former subordinate Yegor Ermishin, head of the prevention department, to issue a medical card in the name of a local resident with a false conclusion from a psychiatrist about an organic disease brain Parfenov drew up an expert opinion on the presence of a local resident of a mental illness, and therefore, he allegedly could not control his actions when signing the will.
Ermishin and Parfenov drew up the same conclusion in 2016 for another deceased man, due to which his wife lost the property left to her as an inheritance.
