On Saturday, November 12, readings of Mikhail Bulgakov’s novel “The Master and Margarita” will be held in the Moscow metro, according to the official website of the capital’s mayor.
The Sokol electric depot was chosen as the reading site. Chroma key technology will be used for filming. “The subject is placed on a plain background, which can then be replaced with anything. Thanks to this technology, participants and spectators will be able to fully immerse themselves in the world of Bulgakov’s novel and find themselves directly in the center of the events,” explained the metro press service.
The metro will become one of the platforms for the Google reading project “The Master and Margarita. I was there." The readings will be broadcast online on YouTube from 13:00 to 18:00. TV presenters Dmitry Khrustalev and Sofiko Shevardnadze, and leader of the Tesla Boy group Anton Sevidov will take part in the readings.
Google readings of “The Master and Margarita” will be held on November 11 and 12 in major Russian cities: St. Petersburg, Kazan, Vladivostok, Nizhny Novgorod and others. Excerpts from the novel will be read in Tel Aviv. An online broadcast of the readings will be available on YouTube on November 11 from 12:00 to 23:30 and November 12 from 13:00 to 18:00. More than 500 people will read the novel. In addition to famous actors, musicians, writers and politicians, the winners of the casting will participate in the readings.
