The secretary of the Ryazan branch of the Association of Carriers of Russia, Alexey Borisov, was detained on November 11 during a single picket, which he held near the building of the Auchan store as part of an all-Russian action on the anniversary of the start of protests against the Platon system. This was reported by the coordinator of the Ryazan action Tatyana Syachneva.
OVD-InfoBorisov was detained forty minutes after the start of the action, which took place in Ryazan as a series of single pickets. He himself was in a car on which a poster and flags were mounted. The police took Borisov to the Zheleznodorozhny police station, where he was informed that he had two fines unpaid. Then he was taken to the traffic police department on Sokolovskaya Street and from there they are going to take him to court.
A protocol has been drawn up against Borisov for failure to pay an administrative fine on time (under Article 20.25 of the Code of Administrative Offenses); he faces a fine of up to a thousand rubles, up to fifty hours of compulsory labor, or arrest for up to fifteen days.
