Doctors must identify cases of virginity loss and inform the lawyers of the law about them. This was announced to journalists by the head of the management of procedural control over the investigation of certain types of crimes of the Russian Federation of Russia Evgeny Minaev. According to her, the cooperation of doctors and law enforcement officers, the transfer of such information will help prevent sexual crimes.

The Criminal Code of the Russian Federation provides for liability for “sexual intercourse with persons who have not reached the age of 16”, however, the communications participants themselves often hide it by virtue of the natural, as Minaeva noted, “shy or on the instigation of relatives and acquaintances, fearing publicity and negative consequences”.
