A member of PARNAS was summoned to Center “E” because of a letter to the Consulate General of Ukraine

Member of the PARNAS party Alexey Korolev was summoned for a conversation at the Krasnodar Center “E” because of a letter to the Consulate General of Ukraine regarding the holding of elections in Crimea. The Voice of Kuban publication writes about this from Korolev’s words.

According to Korolev, during a conversation on November 9, he was asked to explain his appeal to the Ukrainian authorities for a transit visa to travel to the Crimean Peninsula through the territory of Ukraine to campaign before the elections in Crimea. The basis for the summons to Center “E,” as Korolev was informed, was a certain complaint in which he was accused of calls for violation of the territorial integrity of Russia (the corresponding article 280.1 was introduced into the Criminal Code in 2014 and provides for punishment of up to five years in prison) . The author of the complaint, Korolev, was not named.

During the conversation, Korolev was also asked about another PARNAS member, Alexei Mandrigel, and about photographs allegedly posted by him on social networks.

According to the publication , Mandrigel himself was also summoned for questioning at Center “E” at the end of October, but he refused to come without a legally issued summons. Over the phone, a police officer told him that the call was related to a certain complaint received against the activist “through Internet attacks.”

On November 11, police officers guarded the activist for several hours in the stairwell next to his apartment when he was not at home. According to “Voice of Kuban”, on the same day Mandrigel was visited by Center “E” with his lawyer. As it turned out, the attention of law enforcement agencies was attracted by a photograph of Vladimir Putin with a swastika in the background, published under the activist’s name on the VKontakte social network. As reported by Center “E”, the relevant materials have been sent to the prosecutor’s office. Meanwhile, the activist emphasized that he lost access to the page back in 2012, when it was hacked, and the time of some publications on it coincided with the days when he was serving administrative arrest and did not have access to the Internet.
