Moldova: Igor Dodon wins the presidential election

In the election of the President of Moldova, the majority of the vote was received by the leader of the Socialist Party Igor Dodon, who was supported by 52 and a half percent of voters.

According to the Central Election Commission, the rival of Dodon - the head of the party of actions and solidarity Maya Sandu - received about 47 percent.

At the moment, more than 99 percent of the ballots are calculated.

Igor Dodon promised in case of victory to restore strategic partnership with Russia. Maya Sandu advocates to strengthen ties with Romania, Ukraine and Western countries while maintaining conflict -free relations with Moscow.
