Vladimir Putin removed Alexei Ulyukaev from the post of head of the Ministry of Economic Development "Due to the Loss of Confidence". According to TASS, this was announced by the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov.

Earlier on Tuesday, Judge of the Basmann District Court of Moscow Arthur Karpov sent Ulyukaev under house arrest for a period until January 15, 2017 in the case of extortion of a bribe of $ 2 million from representatives of Rosneft. The TFR did not seek sending an official to the pre -trial detention center - as stated, due to the fact that he has access to state secrets.

On the night of November 15, it became known that Ulyukaev was detained by the FSB with red -handed. It was claimed that the special service listened to the official of the official from the summer. In the conversations of the Minister with representatives of Rosneft, when discussing the issue of privatization of Bashneft, threats sounded.

On the afternoon, on Tuesday, Ulyukaev was charged under part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code (receiving a bribe by public servants on an especially large scale with extortion), which provides for from 8 to 15 years of a colony with a fine of up to a 70-time sum of the bribe or without it.

According to the plot of the case, the minister demanded from the representative of Rosneft Money for the legitimate issuance of a positive conclusion and evaluating "regarding the purchase by this company of the state stake of Bashneft. Otherwise, they say in the TFR, the official threatened to create obstacles to the work of Rosneft.

Ulyukaev himself does not admit guilt. According to his lawyers, he regards the initiation of the case as a provocation. The official refuses to testify until the charge is specified and evidence is presented.

On the afternoon of November 15, Peskov said that from the very beginning of the operational development of Ulyukaev, Putin received all the information about the events, but did not dismiss the minister, since "sufficient reasons are needed", not "primary information".

Peskov also assured that the case with Ulyukaev would not entail the resignation of the government. “In this case, it is absurd to talk about some kind of collective responsibility,” Putin’s spokesman explained.

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, speaking at a meeting of the Duma faction of United Russia, said about the case against Ulyukaev: "what happened is beyond my understanding." He added that the day before he discussed the situation with Putin and the same opinion.

Meanwhile, the media reported that the Ulyukaev case was initiated by the head of the Rosneft Security Service Oleg Feoktistov, who until recently was the first deputy head of the FSB Office . It was argued that Feoktistov personally participated in "operational-technical events."
