The State Duma introduced the financial liability of deputies for the absence at plenary meetings without good reason, TASS reports . From the salary, the parliamentarian will be subtracted each sixth for each absenteeism.

The initiative was proposed for consideration by representatives of all parliamentary factions. The changes were made to the 44th article of the Rules of the Chamber.

"In the absence of a State Duma deputy at a meeting of the chamber without a good reason, liability is established against him in the form of reducing the size of monthly payments," the decree said. At the same time, the truant will be recognized as the truant who has never registered during the plenary meeting. There are three such registrations: at 10:00, 12:00 and 16:00, one of the authors of the amendments, the vice speaker from the LDPR Igor Lebedev, specified.

The decision on the fine of the deputy is made by the State Duma Committee on the Regulation and is subject to publication on the official website of the chamber. The State Duma prescribed respectful reasons for the absence at the meeting in her regulations earlier. This is temporary disability, business trips around the country or abroad, as well as the implementation of responsible instructions outside the State Duma building.

Back in 2007, the State Duma was prepared in the State Duma of the Deputy Ethics Code , according to which, for the absenteeism of plenary meetings of deputies, they were supposed to deprive salaries. However, the document was not adopted.

In the spring of 2010, the State Duma again began the fight against truants after the then President Dmitry Medvedev drew attention to a large number of empty seats in parliament. To control the attendance of the voting hour, they moved to the evening, changed the schedule of plenary meetings, and also introduced mandatory panoramic photography. These pictures are transmitted by the State Duma leadership. However, then, too, measures were not introduced on the truants.
