The coordinator of Open Russia in Chuvashia was fined in the second case regarding the picture with Milonov

The coordinator of the Open Russia movement, Dmitry Semenov, was fined another thousand rubles for reposting a photo with the current State Duma deputy Vitaly Milonov (Article 20.29 of the Administrative Code). Open Russia employee Olga Borisova reported this on her Twitter.

This morning, Semenov was already fined in a similar case - for reposting a photograph of Milonov wearing a T-shirt with the inscription “Orthodoxy or Death.” In the second case, the slogan, which the court considered extremist, was in the commentary on the repost, and not on the photo itself.

On September 17, 2015, the Leninsky District Court of Cheboksary sentenced Dmitry Semenov to a fine of 150 thousand rubles under the first part of Article 280 of the Criminal Code, finding him guilty of public calls for extremist activities due to the reposting of an interview, which included a caricature of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev . After the verdict was pronounced, the court amnestied Semenov, releasing him from a fine and expunging his criminal record.
