
The Oktyabrsky District Court of St. Petersburg arrested for two months the 21-year-old administrator of one of the so-called suicidal publics in VKontakte, Philip Budeikin, known as Philip Lis. This was reported by RAPSI.
Budeikin was detained on November 15. The case in which it passes was initiated under part 4 of Article 33 and under Article 110 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (incitement to bring to suicide).
According to investigators, from December 2013 to May 2016, attackers created eight communities on VKontakte, where they promoted suicides and inclined minors to perform them.
As the investigation established, during the existence of public in different regions of Russia, suicides committed 15 teenagers who were in them. Five more planning suicide eventually abandoned him.
Now the investigation of the case continues in 10 regions of Russia.
“Suicidal publics” attracted public attention after the publication of the “Death Group” in Novaya Gazeta in mid -May 2016. Then law enforcement agencies took up the investigation of the activities of groups.
