
The Moscow Arbitration Court satisfied the lawsuit of Rosneft against the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and the Rosbalt agency on the protection of business reputation, RIA Novosti reports . The claims for the third co -defendant, State Duma deputy to communist Valery Rashkin, the court completely rejected.
The court recognized the information contained in the publications “Valery Rashkin that defended the business reputation of the plaintiff: the government officially allowed the Rosneft leadership to steal” and “Raskin: allowing Rosneft to hide commercial information, the Ministry of Economy encourages theft”. The court ordered the defendants in the Communist Party and Rosbalt to publish refutations on the sites of kPRF.ru and rosbalt.ru within 10 days after the court decision comes into force.
During the meeting, Rosneft refused to oblige to delete defamatory information from sites, as the defendants have already done this voluntarily. There were no financial requirements for the defendants.
The decision of the court of first instance will enter into force after a month if the appeal is not submitted to it.
Rosneft and its head Igor Sechin regularly win claims against the media. So, on September 16, the court granted Sechin’s claim to Vedomosti for an article about his house on Rublevka, and on October 10 - a lawsuit against Novaya Gazeta for a publication about a yacht used by the wife of the head of Rosneft. Now the court considers the three millionth lawsuit of the company against RBC in connection with the publication of the article "Sechin asked the government to protect Rosneft from BP.
