The Moscow City Court finally decided to destroy the circulation of Vedomosti in the suit of Sechin

The Moscow City Court recognized the decision of the Ostankino court of the capital, which in September of this year decided to delete an article about the house of the head of Rosneft Igor Sechin from the website of the newspaper, completely destroy the preserved circulation of the number and publish information about the court decision, the Interfax agency reports. The edition of the publication has already been assured that they were ready to fulfill the decision of the Moscow City Court.

Sichin filed a lawsuit due to the fact that the newspaper’s publication claimed that he was supposedly building a country house near the Barvikha sanatorium on Rublevka. The newspaper estimated the cost of the site at 60 million dollars. Vedomosti lawyers stated that they did not understand exactly what copies the court ordered to destroy: those that remained in the editorial office, or all.

Earlier, representatives of the newspaper and the author of the article Rinat Sagdiev himself asked the court to refuse to satisfy the claim. They insisted that all data were received from open sources (extract from Rosreestr, an official declaration of income, publication in the media). The author of the article emphasized that such information is of great importance for society: as earth, 22 hectares of forests belonging to the Barvikha sanatorium, transferred from state ownership to the private.

We are talking about publication in the printed version of Vedomosti and on the newspaper’s website on July 20, which reported that Igor Sechin from the fall of 2014 is building a new house on Rublevka on a land plot of 3 hectares in the center of the new village, which has not yet been a name located near the Barviha sanatorium of the Presidential Affairs of the Russian Federation. It was also said in the material of Rinat Sagdiev that in the fall of 2015, the children of Sechin acquired plots in the neighborhood. The newspaper estimated the cost of the site at 60 million dollars.

Rosneft spokeswoman Mikhail Leontyev specified that there are no material claims in Sechin’s lawsuit against the Vedomosti newspaper. Immediately after the publication, he called the text a “meaningless order”, and in the official statement of Rosneft it was emphasized that the mentioned section was acquired and declared in accordance with the law.

Recall that in 2014, Sechin won a lawsuit to protect honor, dignity and business reputation against Vedomosti and the author of publication, which contained reasoning about the influence of the head of Rosneft on the Russian economy. As a result, the newspaper was forced to publish a refutation.
