Lithuania called Russia "superproble"

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkyavicius warned that Russia is organizing an offensive on NATO a few weeks before the inauguration of the elected President of the United States Donald Trump. It is reported by the BBC.

“Russia is not a superpower, but a super -problem,” said Lithuanian Foreign Minister.

Linkyavichyus said that he was “very worried” for the Baltic countries and the Syrian city of Aleppo.

Earlier in Lithuania, they released a guide on behavior in the event of occupation or war. Particular attention in it is paid to the protection of the population from occupation by the Russian military. Lithuanian Minister of Defense Yuozas Olekas said that this training is a demonstration that "whoever crosses our border will receive strong resistance."

Since the beginning of 2016, NATO has adhered to a Russian deterrence strategy. As part of the strategy in Poland and the Baltic countries, it is planned to place four additional battalions of the American and Western European military, as well as the Alliance plans to place a permanent flotilla in the Black World.

In the Russian Foreign Ministry, the steps taken by NATO were repeatedly called a “provocation”, which is aimed at increasing tension in the region.
