RusHydro sold five dams of the Angarsk Cascade of hydroelectric power stations Deripaska

The RusHydro company completed a deal to sell five dams of the Hydroe of the Angarsk cascade of the Telmam hydroelectric power station ("Daughter" of the Eurosibnergo group Oleg Deripaska) for 9.28 billion rubles. Funds will be directed to financing investment projects.

“Payment was made by cash in the full amount at a time on November 17. An independent assessment of the market value of dams was made by KPMG JSC. The transaction was approved by the board of directors of the company on October 7, 2016, ”the RusHydo website said in a statement.

The structures of Eurosibenergo received the right-bank and left-bank dams of the Irkutsk hydroelectric power station, the right-bank and left-bank dams of the fraternal hydroelectric power station and the dam of the Ust-Ilim hydroelectric power station. RusHydro PJSC did not take the operational participation in the development of electricity and capacity and regulation of water modes with these stations. Until recently, the structure of Eurosibenergo rented these objects.

“This transaction will allow Eurosibenergo to form a single technological and property complex of hydroelectric power stations and strengthen the work to increase their reliability and efficiency,” the seller said.

RusHydro, in turn, received funds for the purposes of financing “priority events”, including the implementation of investment projects.
