The Ministry of Labor prepares for civil servants the form of a report on their accounts on social networks, blogs and forums, Izvestia reports . For the first time, officials will have to submit such a report until April 1 next year.

The obligation of officials to inform in what social networks and under what nicknames they participate with the entry into force on July 1 of the article 20.2 of the Law "On State Civil Service". As noted in the Ministry of Labor, the main goal of such regulation will be to "ensure compliance by civilian employees of the rules of professional ethics."

Councils will have to “present information about the addresses of sites or sites on the Internet on which these persons posted publicly available information, as well as data that allow them to identify,” the press service of the Ministry of Labor noted.

If the official forgets to tell about some account, this will be considered the presentation of "inaccurate and incomplete information." As noted in the department, this entails the liberation of a civil servant from his post and his dismissal.

An official who does not use social networks will have to declare this in writing.

"It is recommended that state bodies carry out verification measures on a systemic basis in relation to citizens as necessary, in relation to civil servants - once a year." - noted in the Ministry of Labor.

In Russia, it was repeatedly proposed to limit civil servants the right to use social networks and messengars, especially foreign ones. In 2015, attention to the use of civil servants of foreign services was attracted by the Secretary of the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev. According to him, with an increase in the number of computer attacks on the information systems of the authorities, "the presence of foreign technical intelligence in the systems of software systems."

In October 2015, deputy Vadim Solovyov introduced a bill with amendments to Art. 17 of the Law "On the State Civil Service in the Russian Federation", which was proposed to prohibit parliamentarians and officials use Google, Yahoo!, WhatsApp, "which can be used for unauthorized access to confidential information or official information." In March 2016, the State Duma rejected the bill.

In May, it became known that the Ministry of Economy proposes to legallyban officials and military personnel to conduct working correspondence through mobile applications of foreign developers. This was stated in the report prepared by the department to President Vladimir Putin with proposals to prioritize Russian software and equipment. The restrictions can affect the e -mail Gmail from Google and the popular messengers WhatsApp, Viber, Skype and Telegram. The representative of the Ministry of Economy Elena Lashkina confirmed that only Russian messengers are planned for official purposes, and this position is agreed with the Ministry of Communications, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Institute for the Development of the Internet.
