Dialogue by means of "Bastion"

In a variety of Russian foreign policy tools, a killer, in every sense, is becoming increasingly important. This time it is the latest Coastal Coastal Construction Complex. It is capable of, according to manufacturers, to ensure the defense of the water area of ​​about 150 thousand square kilometers. The complex covers 600 kilometers of the coast, and its missiles have a range of about 300 kilometers.

Recently, the Minister of Defense reported to the president: Bastion was perfectly shot in Syria. And not for sea purposes, but for terrorists. Skeptics say, however, that in this case, the heads of self -entrustation do not work. And “point” blows were actually delivered in the areas.

The baton immediately picked up Kaliningrad. Washington did not have time to express concern about the placement of the S-400 air defense systems there and the Iskander’s operational-tactical missiles (the Americans consider it unacceptable to create a baseless zone over the Baltic), as the informed source told Interfax: in the Western region, the Bastion also turned out. Get it, pindos, we wanted to spit on all your concern.

Far East is not behind. Literally the very next day, the newspaper of the Pacific Fleet "Fighting Watch" told: the ubiquitous "Bastion" appeared on the southern Kurils - the islands of Iturup and Kunashir. It is impossible not to see that the note appeared very on time. Three weeks later, the chief Russian boss will go on a visit to Japan. Putin is struggling with all his might that he is ready to positively consider Tokyo's claims to the southern Kurils, which are still belonging to Russia. Obviously, the president misses high diplomacy, is burdened by the situation when European leaders, if they communicate with him, are only by phone. And so he winks on the Japanese with both eyes.

But it is necessary to happen this way: at the moment when Moscow makes all kinds of Tokyo advances, Bastion unfolds in the disputed islands. Obviously, in order to further strengthen the Japanese hopes for good Putin's will to comprehensive cooperation in disputed territories.

The main Russian taster of God's dew, Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov, as he should be by position, does not see any problems in what happened. “From our point of view, of course, this should not affect the rapid trends that are now in our bilateral relations with Tokyo in terms of very thorough preparation of the upcoming visit by President Putin to Japan and ongoing contacts both in the plan of the development of bilateral relations, especially in the economy and in terms of negotiations on the issues of a peaceful agreement,” he said.

If seriously, then the incident may have two explanations. It cannot be ruled out that the naval journalists have lost political vigilance, they did not understand that everything that is happening now on the southern Kurils is in these days in the spotlight. Then, of course, they will heal the first number.

But it is possible that the placement of the Bastion on Kunashir and Iturup is an important part of a complex diplomatic game. After all, the most perspicacious of the Kremlin strategists probably see: at the end, Russian-Japanese negotiations will inevitably wait for a dead end. It is impossible to imagine the situation that Putin, carefully creating the glory of the "collector of Russian lands", will take a chance to give the islands. It is just as incredible that Japan refuses to return these islands. And Moscow creates in advance what the president calls the “negotiation position” (this is how he described the crazy ultimatum presented to the United States in connection with the cancellation of the agreement to destroy Plutonium). In this logic, you need to stuff more chicken with weapons, and then start long-long negotiations on the demilitarization of the islands. It will not be difficult to provide positive dynamics here. As the Bastion was placed, we will remove it. And the Japanese are satisfied, and the islands are intact ...
