The Dozhd film crew disappeared in Donetsk
In Donetsk, the journalists of the Dozhd TV channel, Sergei Yerzhenkov and Vasily Polonsky, stopped communicating. According to the channel, Polonsky managed to tell the editors that they were being detained by representatives of the so-called Ministry of State Security of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic.
The journalists had accreditation in the DPR, received both from representatives of the self-proclaimed republic and from the Security Service of Ukraine. The Ministry of State Security of the DPR told Dozhd that the journalists were not detained.
On November 24, the film crew recorded an interview with Alexander Khodakovsky, former secretary of the DPR Security Council. In a conversation with the editors, he suggested that the journalists were detained for a preventive conversation due to the fact that they were given accreditation without the knowledge of the leader of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko.
The film crew of the Rain received accreditation to work in Donetsk both in the SBU of Ukraine and in the Ministry of Information of the DPR. Journalists crossed the border of the DPR on Thursday from the territory of Ukraine. On the territory of the DPR, Dozhd's journalists planned to shoot a series of stories for the broadcast and the TV channel's website. On Thursday, they recorded an interview with the former secretary of the DPR Security Council Alexander Khodakovsky.
