The film crew of the Dozhd TV channel was expelled from the DPR. This is stated on the website of the Ministry of State Security of the self-proclaimed republic. According to the DPR, the journalists provided the Ministry of Information with "knowingly false personal data" in order to obtain accreditation.
The journalists themselves, as notes Dozhd , have not yet made contact. According to the channel, the film crew received accreditation from the Security Service of Ukraine and the Ministry of Information of the DPR.
To clarify the circumstances, the journalists of the Dozhd TV channel were invited to the administrative building of the Ministry of State Security of the DPR to give explanations on the fact of illegal journalistic activities and demonstrate the footage. When viewing the video recordings, ministry officials found that they were biased and provocative. In a false light, they reflect the socio-economic and political situation in the Republic.
- The fact that Dozhd journalists Sergey Yerzhenkov and Vasily Polonsky stopped communicating was reported by the TV channel on the evening of November 25. At the same time, Dozhd noted that Polonsky managed to report the detention by employees of the Ministry of State Security of the DPR. Later, an adviser to the head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko, Zakhar Prilepin, assured that the journalists would be released. “There is only one information: everything will be fine. There are no particular problems. Now they will figure it out, and tomorrow morning everything will be fine. They'll just let you out in the morning or half an hour later. They will release simply and dosvidos. Everything will be fine," Prilepin told Ekho Moskvy.
