Idexation of pensions to non -working pensioners in 2017 will be carried out in full. This was stated by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Interfax reports .
“We decided that in 2017 the pensions will be in full. There can be no doubt here,” the prime minister said. “In 2017, we are already returning to the indexation of pensions according to general rules, that is, for inflation, which is accumulated in 2016.”
The decision to index the next year of another social payment, maternity capital, has not yet been accepted. Medvedev promised that the government would still return to this issue. "We really suspended in 2016, because there the amount of money accumulated in the framework of maternity capital is rather big, but they are not so susceptible to erosion, depreciation as some other means, but I understand these fears, and we will return to this issue, think about how to do it," the prime minister said.
In 2016, pensions were indexed by 4 percent. According to Rosstat, the inflation rate in 2015 amounted to 12.9 percent. The government announced a possible second indexation of pensions in 2016, depending on the economic results of the first half of the year.
In May, Medvedev, speaking of a pension with a resident of Feodosia, said that the state has no money to raise pensions. “The prices are frantic,” one of the women complained to the premiere. According to her, pensions in the region are incorrectly calculated and indexed, and it is impossible to live for 8 thousand rubles a month. “What is eight thousand? We wipe our legs about us! We have worked for 45 years, we have nothing to pay,” the woman asked.
The prime minister replied that the indexation of pensions is now "nowhere to nowhere." “There is simply no money now. We will find money - we’ll make an indexation,” Medvedev explained. “You keep here, all the good, good mood and health.”
In 2017, the usual, defined procedure for indexing pensions for actual inflation will be restored in full, the funds in the budget have already been laid down. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets, Interfax reports .
"A one -time monetary payment is a single measure. From January 1, 2017, the usual, legal procedure for indexing pensions is restored. Indexation in 2017 is laid in full, as it should be - by actual inflation," Golodets said. "These funds are now taken into account in the budget. The indexation will be as usual - in percentage of the last year."
On Tuesday, the government decided to replace the second indexation of pensions in 2016 by a lump -sum payment of five thousand rubles . Pensioners will receive it in January only more than 200 billion rubles will be required, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said. He added that he instructed the Ministry of Finance to find these funds.
