The court arrested the executive director of Roscosmos

The Basmanny Court of Moscow took into custody the executive director of Roscosmos for quality and reliability assurance, Vladimir Evdokimov, accused of fraud.

As RIA Novosti reports , judge Artur Karpov thus granted the investigation's request.

During the hearing, the accused himself noted that he voluntarily gave evidence and began to cooperate with the investigation. The defense asked to release the top manager under house arrest or a bail of 30 million rubles - according to the lawyer, there is no need for imprisonment, since Evdokimov surrendered his international passport due to access to state secrets.

Evdokimov is charged with Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code (fraud on an especially large scale). According to investigators, in the early 2000s, he and other defendants in the criminal case stole a complex of buildings on Khodynskoye Field with a total area of ​​22 thousand square meters, owned by the MiG aircraft manufacturing corporation, and then resold it and rented it out for several years, in including structures of the United Aircraft Corporation.

Earlier, as part of this case, the former general director of the subsidiary of the MiG company MiG-Rost, Alexey Ozerov, and the deputy general director of the Tupolev joint-stock company, Yegor Noskov, were arrested.
