The Investigative Committee charged Vladimir Evdokimov, executive director of Roscosmos for quality and reliability assurance, with fraud with the property of the Russian aircraft manufacturing corporation MiG in the amount of at least 200 million rubles. Now Evdokimov is detained. He is accused of fraud on an especially large scale using his official position as part of an organized group (Article 159 of the Criminal Code). This article provides for up to ten years in prison.

“I do not plead guilty. I voluntarily testified and am ready to continue to testify and cooperate with the investigation,” said an employee of a state-owned company in court and offered to pay 30 million bail. Evdokimov explained that he could not travel abroad because he had access to state secrets and surrendered his passport.
