In Kabardino-Balkaria, a policeman was sentenced to seven and a half years for the murder of a colleague

The Nalchik City Court sentenced the former deputy head of a department of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs to seven and a half years in prison, finding him guilty of murdering a colleague and illegal weapons trafficking. This was reported by RIA "Kabardino-Balkaria" with reference to the city prosecutor's office.

The incident occurred on the night of December 26, 2014 in the Vesna cafe on Malbakhova Street in Nalchik. There, the police lieutenant colonel quarreled with his acquaintance, a major who worked in one of the traffic police departments, and shot him in the chest with a pistol.

The major died from his injuries at the scene, and the shooter disappeared and confessed a few days later. Now he will serve his sentence in a maximum security colony.
