The Progress MS-04 cargo ship, which launched on December 1 to the International Space Station, crashed on the territory of Tuva. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to a source in the power structures of the region.
“The fragments fell, presumably, in Tuva, their search was organized,” the source said.
According to TASS, in the area of the Tuvan settlement of Ishtii-Khem, where the wreckage of the ship could fall, eyewitnesses "saw flashes." An Interfax source familiar with the situation said that the wreckage could have fallen near the Russian-Mongolian border.
There is no official confirmation of this information. Earlier, Roskosmos reported that shortly after the launch, the ship stopped transmitting telemetry.
