The Progress MS-04 cargo ship, which launched on December 1 to the International Space Station, crashed on the territory of Tuva. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to a source in the power structures of the region.

“The fragments fell, presumably, in Tuva, their search was organized,” the source said.

According to TASS, in the area of ​​the Tuvan settlement of Ishtii-Khem, where the wreckage of the ship could fall, eyewitnesses "saw flashes." An Interfax source familiar with the situation said that the wreckage could have fallen near the Russian-Mongolian border.

There is no official confirmation of this information. Earlier, Roskosmos reported that shortly after the launch, the ship stopped transmitting telemetry.
