Roskomnadzor issued a warning to the editorial office and the founder of the network publication Newtimes.ru. This is stated in the message posted on the website of the department. The reason was an obscene wordin the material “everyone has feelings, and everyone is in the answer for them”, published on the site on November 21.

The article was dedicated to the picket for the abolition of a criminal article on insulting the feelings of believers, which was held in St. Petersburg on November 18. “Do you want Bl.da to jump in the church?” An elderly man, who was belligerently advancing on the hem of his cassock, interrogated his father, ”the material said in the text.

The agency demanded immediately edit the material and, no later than ten days from the date of receipt of a warning, report this to the registering authority. A few minutes after the warning of the amendments to the text were made.

“We have said many times that such a disguise of obsceneity is unacceptable. Therefore, we take warnings in such cases in such cases,” said RBC, the official representative of Roskomnadzor Vadim Ampelonsky.

He clarified that if the editors receive two warnings within a year, Roskomnadzor has the right to apply to the court with a statement of claim to terminate the certificate of registration of the media. At the same time, the representative of the department noted that the warning of Newtimes.ru cannot be considered the second warning to the publication.

The article was mentioned by the "Right Sector", but it was not indicated that the organization’s activities were prohibited in the country by a decision of the Supreme Court. Ampelonsky then stated that the agency aroused administrative production under Article 13.15 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (abuse of freedom of mass media).

On April 12, the world judicial site of the Presnensky court of Moscow fined The New Times and its editor -in -chief Evgeny Albats . The court found that the publication violated Part 2 of Article 13.15 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, and imposed an administrative punishment in the form of a fine of 4 thousand against Albats and 40 thousand rubles in relation to the legal entity of New Times LLC.
