The court arrested 9.3 billion rubles in Russian IKEA accounts

Krasninsky court of the Smolensk region arrested 9.3 billion rubles in the accounts of the Russian representative office of IKEA. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the court.

Thus, the court satisfied the requirements of the former IKEA partner in Russia by businessman Konstantin Ponomarev.

Earlier, at the end of August 2016, Ponomarev sued IKEA more than half a billion rubles in connection with the short -lived diesel generators, as well as the costs of paying for the state duty.

IKEA and Ponomarev are conducting a long-term lawsuit due to renting generators for company hypermarkets in St. Petersburg. The Ikea Mos conflict with Bizsnemen structures began in 2008, when she launched the Mega Dybenko and Mega Parnassus hypermarkets in St. Petersburg.

After Lenenergo could not connect complexes to electric networks, Ikea MOS had to rent diesel power plants from Ponomarev. Subsequently, Ikea Mos refused to pay the debt for the use of power plants, suspecting the businessman’s company in conspiracy with Lenenergo. The courts took the side of Ponomarev and ordered IKEA’s “daughter” to pay off the debt for the rental of equipment.
