In the approved House of Representatives of the US Congress, the budget of the country's Ministry of Defense for 2017, the financial year prescribes a direct ban on military cooperation with Russia. It is reported by the Voice of America.

According to the bill, initiated by Senator John McCain, the total US military budget will be $ 618.7 billion.

A whole chapter is devoted to the Pentagon with Russia in the document. The bill prohibits the use of allocated funds for any bilateral military cooperation with the Russian government. Money can be allocated if the Pentagon informs the Congress that Russia "has stopped the occupation of the Ukrainian territory and aggressive actions that threatens the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and members of the organization of the North Atlantic Treaty."

The document also contains a ban on the use of funds for any activity related "with the recognition of Russia's sovereignty in Crimea."

The bill also limits cooperation with Russia in various technological areas. At the same time, an exception is made for Russian suppliers of missile engines.

Until 2027, a ban on the exchange of information with Russia on missile defense was extended, as well as the creation of combined pro -security systems with Russia and China.

Congress also provided for the allocation of military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of $ 350 million.

The draft budget also provides for the largest increase in the monetary allowance of American military personnel over the past six years.

Next week, the bill will be sent to the Senate.
