Gref in a special suit, which imitated a person with weakened vision and hearing, received a loan advice in one of the Sberbank branches. The head of Sberbank took the coupon and when the number of his queue appeared on the screen, he tried to find a consultant on his own. However, he had to take advantage of the help of visitors.

Gref asked to issue a loan for the purchase of a wheelchair. Gref told the bank employee that he needed 100 thousand rubles, and his income is 30 thousand a month. The head of Sberbank noted that he almost did not see what the employee on the monitor showed him, and also heard her very poorly. “Today I was glasses simulating Glack. I saw large numbers, but I didn’t see the monitor at all - I saw only a light spot. I saw only a blurry outline of the girl’s face, who was talking to me. Of course, a completely different feeling,” said the head of Sberbank.

Even before the employee completed the application, Gref handed her headphones and glasses so that she would personally convince the problems that arose.

“Of course, completely different feelings. I think that it is necessary for the employees who work with the disabled to spend for some time in these costumes to feel on themselves. All this develops empathy,” Gref said. “It was very useful, we will draw a number of conclusions from my location in this costume. I think that we will also create special products for the purchase of special things, such as Kolya and so on. I’ll give a task to work on it. ”

The head of Sberbank noted that the bank only recently purchased such costumes. They are designed for developers of bank products and for those people who work with disabled people. "We have about 12 million people with disabilities in the country, about 40 million people with mobility. According to expert estimates, most of them are customers of Sberbank. In recent years, we have taken a big step forward regarding the adaptation of our departments to work with people with limited opportunities," Gref said.

Sberbank purchases a large number of terminals with which people with various types of disability can work. Among such devices are ATMs, which are located significantly lower than ordinary, keyboards with a brail font.

"The network already has more than 10 thousand ATMs with different types of devices. About three thousand departments in our country are adapted to work with disabled people. We try to take a step forward every year in terms of working with people with disabilities."
