The Investigative Committee brought charges of fraud against the former host of the “Trial is Coming” program, Vladimir Reznik (Oreshnikov). The Rosbalt agency reports this.
According to Rosbalt's source in law enforcement agencies, Reznik is accused under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code (fraud on an especially large scale). “Moreover, he was charged with this article as a so-called special subject. Just the other day, it turned out that in October 2016, a month before his arrest, Vladimir Reznik officially received the status of a lawyer for the third time in his life, now in the Chechen Republic,” the agency writes.
According to investigators, Reznik received more than 4 million rubles from a businessman who is accused of illegal banking activities. The former presenter promised that he would “influence law enforcement agencies” and achieve a suspended sentence for the entrepreneur. Rosbalt notes that Reznik fully admitted his guilt.
He was arrested on November 22. Then a Rosbalt source said that in the fall of 2011, Reznik was detained by FSB officers on similar charges; During the investigation, it turned out that the lawyer had a fake diploma of legal education. Later, the court sentenced him to two years in prison.
