The government reduced the cost of living in Russia

The Russian government established a living wage at the end of the third quarter of 2016 in the amount of 9,889 rubles. The corresponding resolution is published on the official portal of legal information. The set level is 67 rubles less in relation to the previous quarter.

According to the document, the subsistence minimum for the able -bodied population will amount to 10,678 rubles, for pensioners - 8,136 rubles, for children - 9,668 rubles.

According to the results of the second quarter, the living wage in Russia was 9,956 rubles in Russia, for the able -bodied population - 10,722 rubles, for pensioners - 8,163 rubles, for children - 9,861 rubles. For the first quarter of 2016, the cost of living per capita was 9,776 rubles.

In mid-October, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev noted that unemployment in Russia remains at the level of 2015, but the real incomes of the population decreased . "The economic situation remains difficult, the real incomes of people have decreased, our people began to spend less, and, of course, this does not affect economic indicators, including retail trade," Medvedev said.

Prior to this, the head of the Ministry of Labor Maxim Topilin said that the return of Russians income to the pre -crisis level will occur no earlier than by the end of 2018.

According to Rosstat, the number of citizens with income below the subsistence minimum in the first half of the year amounted to 21 million 400 thousand people or 14.6 percent of the total population of Russia.

Real disposable cash income is considered to be deducted by mandatory payments adjusted to the consumer price index. In Russia, they have been declining for the third year in a row.
