85 years ago, on December 5, 1931, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior was blown up in Moscow. This was carried out by the order of the Committee on Cults under the Presidium of the All -Russian Central Executive Committee of June 16, 1931: "Due to the withdrawal of the site on which the Cathedral of Christ the Savior is located, to build the Temple to liquidate and demolish the presidium of the Mosobol Executive Committee to liquidate (closure) of the temple within a decade period."
For several months, work on disassembling the building continued, but it was not possible to make it out to the ground, and then it was decided to blow up. I had to hold two explosions, because after the first temple I resisted. It took a year and a half to analyze the fragments of the temple. The Palace of Soviets was never built.
