The online retailer Amazon announced the opening in Seattle, where the main office of the company is located, a grocery store without a cash desk. According to the commercial published on December 5, visitors will be able to, having dialed all the necessary goods, “just leave” from the store.
The store is called Amazon Go. Currently, it is tested by the company's employees. For everyone, it will open in early 2017.
To make purchases in the store you will need the Amazon Go mobile application. The control of what products the buyer took from the shelf (or put back) is carried out using computer vision and deep training (as noted in the company, these technologies are used in unmanned vehicles). Money for purchases will be written off from the Amazon account.
