The Central Election Commission will check the information of Novaya Gazeta about possible falsifications in the State Duma and the Moscow Region elections in Mytishchi near Moscow. If the violations are confirmed, the CEC will do everything to punish the perpetrators, as well as the cancellation of voting results in the city. This was stated by the head of the commission Ella Pamfilova, reports TASS.

"If they are confirmed, then we, the CEC, will do our first possible to be punished, (to) bring to ships and up to the cancellation of the elections in the city of Mytishchi," said the head of the CEC.

Pamfilova thanked the journalists of Novaya Gazeta for the publication and invited them to take part in the work of a specially created to verify the working group. “I will attract for the initial verification of representatives of law enforcement agencies, Prosecutor General’s Office, if we need, the Investigative Committee and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. We prepared an appeal, today (it) will be sent for my signature to law enforcement agencies,” she said.

Pamfilova expressed the hope that this investigation "would become a final point in multifaceted work." “At any outcome, either I will have to cancel the elections, or this is not confirmed - I think that this does not cross out that huge work, honest, conscientious, which throughout the election campaign, including with representatives of political parties, conducted all election commissions with the participation of observers,” the head of the CEC emphasized.

“According to all data, according to all the facts that are collected, a large -scale information war has already begun, aimed at discrediting the past elections,” Pamfilova said .

On December 4, the New Gazeta published a material stating that the results of the voting were distorted in 68 polling stations in Mytishchi. The discrepancies were discovered between the results recorded in the PEC protocols and the data contained in the GAS "Elections".

According to the publication, a total of 1969 votes of non -playing parties were stolen, which allowed United Russia to receive an additional 3.5 percent of the vote. “The Russian Party of Pensioners for Justice suffered more than others, which stole 450 votes, and Yabloko, which lost 580 votes. 688 votes were thrown in the elections to the Moso -Black Duma. 255 votes were stolen from Yabloko, the Party of Pensioners - 216 votes,” the publication said. The New Gazeta asked to consider its publication a statement on the commission of a criminal offense, demanding to recognize the elections in Mytishchi invalid.

On Monday, the chairman of the Moscow Regional Election Commission Irina Konovalova said that Moik would conduct an audit after the publication in Novaya Gazeta. “We are still talking to the chairman of the TEC that he will tell us, according to the results we will decide,” she said.
