The Ministry of Health will give a license to the people's healers

The Ministry of Health has been planning since 2017 to issue to the people's healers a license to practice. According to RT, this was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the Coordinating Council for the regulation of traditional medicine under the Ministry of Health Vladimir Egorov. According to him, the corresponding amendments to the law will be considered before the end of the year.

Egorov said that before receiving licenses, healers will pass internships from traditional doctors and pass exams.

"Doctors who specialize in the field of herbal medicine will teach herbalists. Who will evaluate the bones? Manual therapist. Such internships will be paid and take place in private medical centers. The doctor will be responsible for internships and to the state," Yegorov explained.

At the same time, he emphasized that there will be no mandatory medical education for folk healers - there will be enough internships and exam for practical skills. “It is necessary to test real knowledge of security and practical skills, and not be guided by pieces of paper that can be faked,” the official added.

The list of all official healers will be posted on the websites of Roszdravnadzor and regional Ministry of Health.

Also, according to Egorov, some of the methods of folk healing will be equal to traditional. For this, the council proposes to rename Article 50 of the Law "On the Basics of Protection of Citizens' Health" "People's Medicine" in "Traditional Medicine".

The day before, it became known that the State Duma Committee on Budget and Taxes proposed reducing the growth rate of the salary of doctors in the regions . As follows from the amendments to the draft budget of the compulsory medical insurance fund for 2017 and the planning period of 2018-2019, it is proposed to reduce the growth rate of salaries from 10.6 percent to 5.4 percent.

The initiative is due to the fact that the regions will experience difficulties in financing the current growth rate of salaries, since co -financing funds were not laid down in regional budgets, the Ministry of Finance explained.
