The Prosecutor General's Office assessed the possible punishment for the head of Russian Post

The General Director of Russian Post is likely to face administrative punishment. This was stated by the official representative of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia Alexander Kurennoy, reports . Interfax

“Despite the fact that we sent a submission about the possible initiation of a criminal case, we are not talking about punishment related to deprivation of liberty. Most likely, it will be an administrative punishment. But, I emphasize once again, it is the prerogative of the TFR (Investigative Committee - ed .) to decide this, he said.

Kurennoy added that the inspection of the Prosecutor General's Office did not reveal any violations in the accrual of bonuses to other, in addition to Strashnov, top managers of Russian Post and organizations subordinate to the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications.

According to him, the documents were sent to the Investigative Committee only in relation to Dmitry Strashnov.

Earlier on Friday, the media reported that the FSB came with a search to the office of the Russian Post as part of a pre-investigation check because of the bonus of its general director. It was reported that the security forces seized some of the documents at the central office of the Russian Post in Moscow. Representatives of the organization told Novaya Gazeta that the information about the searches was not true.

On December 7, “as part of a working interaction,” the employees of the Russian Post handed over the documents to law enforcement agencies at their request, and not as a result of the seizure procedure, as the media report, the Russian Post said.

In addition, they denied the connection of the documents that interested the special services with the issue of paying salaries and bonuses to the management of the enterprise.

Recall that the Prosecutor General's Office suspected the head of the Russian Post, Dmitry Strashnov, of illegally receiving remuneration in the amount of 95.4 million rubles. The materials were transferred to the Investigative Committee. The department noted that the premium was calculated based on the company's net profit for 2014, which was formed through targeted funding from the federal budget, which covered losses of over 4 billion rubles.

A source in the Ministry of Communications said that the order to pay the premium to Strashnov was carried out by his deputies. At the same time, Strashnov himself determined the amount of the premium, and his actual employer, the Minister of Communications Nikolai Nikiforov, endorsed the document.
