In Transnistria, the presidential election began

In the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldavian Republic, the presidential elections started. This was reported on Sunday by the Central Election Commission of the PMR.

The sites earned at 7:00 local time and will work until 20:00.

In total, about 417 thousand inhabitants can take part in the elections.

The current President Yevgeny Shevchuk, as well as the chairman of the parliament Vadim Krasnoselsky, the deputy of the Supreme Council Oleg Khorzhan, the prosecutor Alexander Delhi, the director of the Tiraspol branch of the Odessa Law Academy, Vladimir Grigoryev and the unemployed, Irina Vasilaki, claim to be the president.

In order for the elections to be recognized as held, the turnout must amount to at least 25% of the total number of voters.
