Experts predicted the resignation of eight governors

According to the rating of the “political survival” of the heads of regions, drawn up by the St. Petersburg Politics Foundation and the Minchenko Consulting holding, eight governors may lose their positions. The document got acquainted with the "Vedomosti".

We are talking about the head of the Oryol region, Vadim Parakogo, the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region Valeria Shantsee, the head of Buryatia Vyacheslav Nagovitsyn, who received "deuce" in the ranking.

Experts appreciated the work of Andrei Turchak (Pskov Region), Nikolai Merkushkin (Samara Region), Viktor Basargin (Perm Territory), Valeria Radaeva (Saratov Region) and Evgenia Kuyvasheva (Sverdlovsk Region).

Experts recalled that previously predicted the resignation of the ex-governor of the Tula region Vladimir Gruzdev, who left his position in February 2015, as well as the head of the Tver region Andrei Shevelev, who left his post in March 2015. "Vedomosti" emphasized that the third on this list was Turchak.

The President of “St. Petersburg Policy” Mikhail Vinogradov explained that most of the heads of the regions “did not go through direct elections”, but at the same time the deadline for their governor's powers expires. From here, according to the expert. The question arises: why did they not hold the elections before.

“Now the pause is in the rotation of the governors, but the question of the new leadership of the presidential administration arises: how they will formulate the criteria of personnel policy regarding governors,” Vinogradov added.

The results of the study also reflected expert assessments and waiting factors from the post of specific governors, the president of St. Petersburg Policy emphasized.

The head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov received the maximum assessment (“five”). At the “five with a minus” experts appreciated the activities of Sergei Sobyanin (Moscow), Dmitry Ovsyannikov (Sevastopol), Alexander Drozdenko (Leningrad Region) and Alexei Dyumin (Tula region).

Earlier, domestic policy department of the Presidential Administration (UVP) in 2017 promised to submit a report on the effectiveness of the governors to President Vladimir Putin. The regions will be divided into three categories: the first will be attributed to those where the replacement of the chapter, to the second, those whose work are satisfied, and the third whose work must be additionally analyzed, will be required.
