Ivan Astashin, a person involved in Del ABTO, who is serving a sentence in IK-15 in Norilsk, was placed in a ShIZO for “getting up not on his rise, but later.” This was reported to OVD-Info by Astashina's mother Olga.
According to her, her son had not had any penalties for a year, and since the beginning of November, they suddenly “fell down” - four at once. Two of them are penalties for getting up too late, and in one case, in a photograph allegedly demonstrating Astasha’s violation of the regime, he is alone at the bed, while the rest of the prisoners lie in their sleeping places.
I called our former Krasnoyarsk lawyer to consult with her on the current situation, she told me that in the Krasnoyarsk Territory there are very sad statistics on appealing the penalties imposed by the administrations of colonies in court. Throughout the vast region, since 2013, not a single positive decision has been made to appeal against the actions of the administration of the colonies. So she honestly warned us that it was almost impossible to win this lawsuit.
- said Olga Astashina.
The “ABTO Case” (Autonomous Combat Terrorist Organization) is a criminal case on a series of arsons, which were classified by the FSB as terrorist activities, and in which ten young people were sentenced in 2012 to various terms from suspended to 13 years in prison in strict regime colony to Astashin himself. Later, Astashin's term was reduced to 9 years and 9 months.
In August, Astashin's relatives filed a complaint with the ECHR about the violations committed by the Russian Federation against him. In particular, the complaint states that sending a person registered in Moscow to serve a sentence in Norilsk, with which there is no land connection, violates Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights (the right to respect for private and family life).
